About the Work~

By engaging the body’s own natural healing mechanism, this work helps to revitalize the body’s energy and alleviate the effects of stress by inducing deep relaxation. Beneficial for addressing a wide range of conditions including chronic stress, back pain, insomnia, sleep disorders, neck & shoulder tension, TMJ & dental issues, vertigo, migraine headaches, and PMS. Rachael has experience working with complex health conditions such as MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome), Chronic fatigue, Lyme disease, mycotoxin / mold-related illness. Safe, effective, nourishing and restorative, this work is beneficial for people of all ages (infants, children and adults), all abilities and in all stages of life. Bi-lingual Spanish / English. Se habla Español.
The sessions integrate a broad range of dynamic and potent healing modalities,
and offer a unique synthesis steeped in ancient and modern tools and traditions:
-Osteopathic Manual Therapy
-Somatic Counseling
-Pre & Perinatal Attachment/Relational Work
-CranioSacral Work (Biodynamic & Biomechanical approaches)
-Visceral Manipulation (releasing organ-specific tissue restrictions)
-Acupressure/ Relexology (needle-less acupuncture!)
-FSM (Frequency Specific Microcurrent)
-Scar Treatment (FSM can effectively treat scars by helping the body integrate restricted connective tissue.)
-Continuum Movement (allowing the body’s natural resolution through intrinsic movement and unwinding)
-Hakomi Trauma Therapy (A somatic approach to the therapeutic process. Specific application for use with trauma)
-Neurological Reflex Integration Work for Babies / Adults
Osteopathic Manual Therapy is the original 'western medicine' - Developed in the early 1900's, it uses hands-on treatment to restore health and balance to the body. Osteopathy recognizes the body's innate wisdom and ability to heal itself, and the dynamic relationship of structure and function in health and disease. There are many therapeutic techniques that are part of this treatment approach, including CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Myofascial Release & Trigger Point Therapy, Lymphatic Work, Counterstrain and Muscle Energy Technique. Each technique is used to address different types of tissue and conditions in the body, in order to facilitate the release any restrictions present, and restore health to the whole system.
CranioSacral therapy is a hands-on method of whole body evaluation and treatment that consists of gentle holds and subtle contacts. Working with the flow of cerebro-spinal fluid, and the subtle rhythms deep within the body, it helps restore balance to the whole system. Drawing from the traditions of Osteopathy and energy work, it has been proven clinically effective in facilitating the body’s ability to heal itself.
Visceral Manipulation works with organ-related tissue restrictions. Helpful for addressing any imbalances in the digestive system, and also beneficial for resolving muskulo-skeletal pain.
Acupressure follows the Traditional Chinese Medical model, using meridians and acupressure points, and activates the points using touch instead of needles. (Perfect for those who would rather not receive needles!)
Reflexology is therapeutic hand and foot massage used to engage the body’s own natural healing mechanism. It helps with circulation, cleanses the body of toxins and impurities, benefits the blood, organs, glands and nerves, and revitalizes the body’s energy by alleviating the effects of stress and inducing deep relaxation.
Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) uses physiologic-level frequencies (generated by a TENS device) that address specific tissues and specific tissue states. It is beneficial for treating chronic pain, reducing pain associated with injury, and enhanced recovering from injury or surgery. Also effective for treating skin conditions (such as acne or rashes), scars and sleep disorders. There is no discomfort or unpleasant sensation associated with the use of the frequencies. Patients consistently report less pain, more mobility, more regular sleep patterns, and general increased relaxation.
Note: Frequency Specific work is different from regular Microcurrent treatment.

Scar Treatment
FSM can be used to effectively treat scars, by helping the body integrate the scar tissue. By reducing restrictions in the surrounding tissue, as well as in the scar itself, FSM can facilitate increased range of motion in that area of the body, and help to regain sensation in the scar site (by addressing the associated nerve/tissue damage). With FSM treatment, is also possible to greatly reduce the appearance of the scar itself.
Continuum Movement
"Continuum is an extraordinary awakening to the fullness of what it means to be alive" ~E. Conrad
It uses sound and movement practices to increase communication within the entire system.
It is beneficial for increased awareness, mobility and vitality. It helps to develop core strength, alignment and flexible power. It revitalizes bones, joints, and releases, relaxes the body. Using these therapies in a session includes the use of gentle vocalization, movement and hands-on contact.

Hakomi Trauma Therapy Hakomi is a somatic approach to Therapy, that integrates the body and the emotions in the therapeutic process. Hakomi Trauma Therapy has specific application for use with trauma (PTSD, shock trauma, developmental trauma, injury/accident trauma). Rachael uses this method alongside hands-on therapy to help eliminate symptoms associated with trauma, and to restore movement and balance to to stuck patterns held within the body/mind.
